Freedhealing:

A revolutionary treatment.

THE HEALING TREATMENT: What it is, and what to expect - Our bodies have the ability to reset and naturally heal, but we often need to clear blockages to allow this healing to take place. I help people remove trauma from their body, which allows energy to move more freely so that we can heal from unease and disease. This is a new therapeutic technique that has been developed in Los Angeles and is creating extraordinary results - it's done through a blend of hands-on deep-tissue bodywork, myofascial release, acupressure, reflexology, joint mobility, cranio-sacral, energy healing and intuitive healing.

MY STORY: NEAR-DEATH TO FULL-LIFE: On Nov 3rd 2017, I was hit by a car whilst walking across a road in Beverly Hills, thrown onto the hood, and rolled onto the tarmac. What followed was being rushed to Cedars-Sinai hospital, with two hours to live - it turned out I was suffering from a life-threatening brain haemorrhage. A near-death experience immediately followed, and I saw two bright lights - a white window to my right that represented my soul passing on, and a gold window to my left that represented coming back to this incarnation as Marcus. At the same time my body was having emergency brain surgery...and four days later I experienced a second brain haemorrhage and a second brain surgery. Months and years of rehabilitation followed, along with a lot of complementary healing therapies in addition to traditional medicine. This journey led to my discovery of personal healing abilities, blending hands-on deep-tissue techniques with medical intuition. It is an incredible journey, and one of the many hidden blessings of my near-death experience was to discover how I can help other people reclaim their full life. Here is an article I wrote about some of the incredible learnings from the experience, "The Blessings of a Brush With Death."

HEALING BACKGROUND: My own background includes 25 years of immersion within healing professions. This began with teaching yoga and meditation, gaining training certificates in both Vinyasa-based systems and Iyengar-influenced alignment-based therapeutic yoga. The next step was to start blending yoga and meditation with Kabbalistic wisdom and Biblical insights, leading workshops in 18 countries, and writing "The Kosher Sutras", "The Kabbalah Sutras" and "The Festive Sutras", a trilogy of award-winning books. I co-founded the Jewish Yoga Network that featured international seminars across a span of several years, and also in a wide-range of mind-body techniques including mindfulness, spiritual healing, Qigong, Lian Gong and the Universal Healing Tao system.

MY TEACHERS & CERTIFICATIONS: My teachers and influences have included Mantak Chia, Brandon Bayes, Caroline Myss, Augusto Boal and Rabbi Lord Jonathan Sacks zt"l.  These studies were complemented with coaching certifications from the School of Coaching Mastery, a year-long business coaching program with Big Vision Business and Jeffrey Van Dyk, and years of coaching/mentoring practice that incorporates further techniques including Non-Violent Communication. I also gained semicha (Orthodox Rabbinic certification), and the spiritual healing is all part of this work. During the early 2000s, I spent two years working in a clinic for eating disorders in London, helping anorexic, bulimic and obese teenagers on their path to recovery through a mix of drama, yoga, and mindfulness teaching. It was so successful that one of my acting students landed a lead role in the final four Harry Potter movies, and she wrote about our time together in her autobiography!

HEALING MODALITIES USED: I use a blend of modalities and techniques during healing sessions, depending on what is needed. This can include acupressure, breathwork, cranio-sacral, energetic & intuitive healing, deep-tissue massage therapy, joint-alignment, reflexology, yoga therapy, and more (but not reiki!). It is a continually evolving process, as I continue to study and deepen the practice. The aim is bring healing as efficiently as possible with the longest-lasting effects, and this is the opposite of “one size fits all.” Just as Hamlet’s advice to actors was “suit the action to the word, the word to the action,” my approach to healing is “suit the modality and therapeutic technique to the patient.” Whilst this philosophy doesn’t have the poetic articulation of Hamlet, the point is to use whichever healing techniques work so that we can create the best results!
