Imagine this: One day a mysterious being says to you “My dear friend. You
have forgotten who you really are. You are an infinite being. You are a child of light.
You came from a place far away and one day you will return there. You are
currently clothed in a human body and this corporeal form is but a temporary
garment. For many years you have focused on your vessel and
forgotten the glowing contents. Remember that your essence is part of The Oneness.
You came here for a Divine purpose. You are feeling frustration in your
everyday life because you were never supposed to live an everyday life.
Step into your greatness, your birthright. Remember, dear friend, remember”.
Friends, I have just returned to Los Angeles from a profound experience. My
8 days of Passover were spent camping in the desert on the edge of Death Valley
and the Mojave(1). We were celebrating, meditating, teaching and journeying deeply within.
I spent one night alone in the middle of the desert on a Vision Quest, sitting inside a
circle of stones from sunset to sunrise, asking the simple question that Moses first
asked God: “Who Am I?”. Do you remember that feeling of expansiveness when
you have returned from a profound trip? Let us remember it together. Let us remember
what we are capable of, before we shrink back to the ‘realities’ of our world – the bills,
the responsibilities, the workplace. Would it not be preferable to jump back to our
realities whilst maintaining our sense of expansiveness?
We are told “You shall be holy, for I, the Lord, your God, am holy” (Leviticus 19:1).
Holy, ‘kadosh’, is really a sense of separateness. Holiness is living in a state where we
are connected to our Higher Purpose, Higher Self, Higher Being. There is no longer
any separation. There is no reason for any stress – how can there be when we live from
the perspective of “I am here on the planet for a short time to fulfil a mission, I am supported
by The Oneness. I still have bills to pay, places to be, food to put on the table, but I will
never forget who I really am”.
Imagine, really imagine: you are operating your business whilst being connected to your
inner being. You have deeply reflected on what it is you are in the world to do. Despite
the blockages – “I cannot find my purpose! Why am I here?”, you keep going, deeply and
gently enquiring until the answers emerge.
The word ‘holy’ is connected to the Germanic ‘heilig’, meaning ‘whole’. Holiness is wholeness.
There is no separation between your physical self, spiritual self, emotional self – all are connected. Rather than feeling torn in different directions, you can enjoy a sense of oneness and step back into your full power.
Today, try connecting with nature. Watch a sunset, a baby, a flower that is in bloom, and allow
yourself to feel a sense of awe. Why? Because it will remind you of your true nature. When you
can stay connected to the inner essence of holiness – there will be more clients on your roster,
more money in your bank account and more joy in your heart. Welcome back to the beauty
Read this with caution. It is far easier to ignore your infinite potential and just get frustrated
with the traffic jams, bad service at coffee shops and what so-and-so said about something-or-other.
