CATCH A WAVE AND YOU'RE SITTING ON TOP OF THE WORLD

I just got back from an 11-day surfing safari to Lagos in Portugal.
The boys at www.surf-experience.com know their business.
Wow. Super-fit days at beaches on the west coast, and
alcohol-fuelled nights at The Red Eye, Joe's Garage,
Whytes, The Old Tavern, Bon Vivant, Calypso and the
Bahia Beach Bar. INCREDIBLE!!!

It beats Woolacombe by a mile and Ratty the surf house dog is the most
intelligent mutt in Europe; the little fella took us for a guided tour around the
streets of Lagos while we just followed. Surf the energy. Can't wait to go back.

The Fall Guy

The day of all days finally came. It took around 3 years but I got my biggest
gig yet - a Sony-Ericsson advert where I basically got to play for a day!

Imagine the scene - you get picked up by cab, driven to the set, introduced
to your personal make-up artist and stylist, shown to YOUR WINNEBAGO
(caravan),along comes your stunt double (who is then made up to look like
you), and the fun begins. Love it, love it, loved it. It'll be on the web in a
couple of months and shown on the Heathrow-Gatwick Express.

There are two ads, both featuring a guy who is so engrossed in his portable
computer that he takes it everywhere, including a golf driving range - where
he gets pelted with golf balls - and logs on while skateboarding down the
street, only to crash into a car and end up in hospital, still surfing the web.

Nick the Stunt Double ended up having to go to hospital for real at the end
of the shoot, with a gash to the eyebrow, but Marcus the Actor ended up
having special effects make-up to represent the accident. Get Well Soon, Nick...
