Close, but no cigar I

Close, but no cigar

I met Timothy Dalton a few days ago, in the foyer at
the National Theatre, after seeing him in a terrific play.

I said 'Great show. thank you very much'. He smiled, thanked
me and patted me on the shoulder.

Timothy Dalton is about 6 foot 3, tall, dark and handsome
with a deep resonant voice.

And that was the moment when I realised I'd never become
James Bond.

But I'm holding out to play a baddie.
